The Menu in Action

This client chose a piece from the Life Drawing section of the gallery, called 'Protector Protected'. These figures were to be the main element of her commission.

The next selection came from the 'Animals' area of the gallery.  The client chose this crow with outspread wings, to add to one of the figures she picked in Topping Choice 1.

It was agreed that this commission would not be improved with the addition of any skeletal element so none were used.

Side Orders/ Extras

Although the client did not want any skeletal elements within her drawing, she did select 2 other options from the Side Orders/ Extras list.

The first was colour, to be inspired by the watercolour drawing above.

The second was an interaction between the figures and a floral climbing honeysuckle.

Special Requirements

It was specified that the client particularly wanted the paint to drip down the page, as seen in the image above.

The Finished Piece

Here are all of the parts, having come together to make the client's commission.

You can see the figures in the centre. The male is winged and watercolour has been used to highlight the forms, as well as gold pigment that will give the piece lustre and shine. Look closely to see the honeysuckle, in graphite, weaving its way around and through the figures.
